I was two weeks from my wedding, standing in a bridal fitting room, when I realized I wasn't living my life.
This journal is the beginning of my story
I walked away from the wedding, quit the teaching job I went to college for, and disappeared to the Florida Keys. Living on a houseboat with no clear plan and very little money, I began reinventing myself from scratch.
As I figured out how to support myself and build a life that finally felt like my own, I met Lindy. A girl a few boats down who made me feel something I'd never allowed myself to feel before.
What started as an escape became an honest admission of feelings I'd been ignoring for years. This is my story about freedom, identity, and choosing yourself without apology.
